From August 28 to September 1, 2024, the city of Armstrong, British Columbia hosted the 123rd annual Interior Provincial Exhibition & Stampede (IPE), a cornerstone event in the North Okanagan region. This five-day fair attracted over 100,000 attendees, offering a rich tapestry of activities including agricultural exhibits, a bustling midway, live music, rodeo events, and artisan markets.
Amidst the vibrant celebrations, St. John Ambulance BC & Yukon’s dedicated Medical First Responders were on-site to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. Our volunteers provided essential first aid services throughout the event, addressing a range of medical needs and ensuring that attendees could enjoy the festivities with peace of mind.
The IPE’s expansive fairgrounds encompassed numerous attractions, from thrilling rides operated by West Coast Amusements to educational agricultural displays and dynamic rodeo performances. The sheer scale and diversity of the event underscored the importance of having trained medical personnel readily available to respond to any emergencies.
Our involvement in the IPE exemplifies our commitment to community service and public safety. By providing medical support at such a significant regional event, we not only ensured immediate care for those in need but also reinforced our role as a trusted presence in community gatherings across British Columbia and the Yukon.
