In February 2024, our volunteer Medical First Responders in Victoria proudly provided on-site first aid support for Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada, a nationally celebrated event that brought together thousands of fans, athletes, and community members.
Held at Ship Point in Victoria’s Inner Harbour, the four-day festival (February 15–18) featured NHL alumni games, family-friendly activities, outdoor broadcasts, and live music, culminating in a full day of televised hockey coverage. With an estimated 40,000 attendees over the course of the weekend, safety was top of mind—and our volunteers were there to respond.
Our team ensured the event was not only memorable, but safe for everyone who attended. Supporting major public events like this is just one of the ways our volunteers show up for their communities.
